Skincare Tips To Follow While Travelling
I love travelling and I do get to travel pretty often. While traveling makes me happy and as they say, happy girls are the prettiest! The truth is… traveling takes a toll on your skin. While I am home, its easy and convenient to follow a proper skin routine. And me being a follower of kbeauty it becomes really difficult to follow that extensive routine with so many products while I am on the go.
And it’s not just for me, even if you have a minimal skin routine, taking care of your skin while travelling can be a task. And as exhilarating an experience traveling can be… the excitement and enjoyment doesn’t show up on your tired face. Your face might end up looking outright dull, exhausted and dry. This just worsens if you are travelling to a place where the weather is extreme or just opposite to the weather you are habituated with.
I have never been worried about tanning much, in fact, I don’t mind getting tanned, but I do not like to look dull and dehydrated when I am on a vacation or elsewhere. And as I travel pretty much… gradually I have taken up a few tips and tricks which has helped me while travelling. And I am sure it shall help you all too 🙂
Skincare Tips To Follow While Travelling
- Stay Hydrated –
Water is a miracle drink that cures everything! It not just keeps your body healthy but also helps your skin to stay clear and glowing. We all are guilty of skipping drinking water while traveling for the simple reason of going through the hassle of finding a restroom. But I have gradually understood that it not only ruins my skin but also disturbs my digestive system big time.
- Invest in a good moisturizer –
Moisturizers are important for your skin, no matter your skin type. So it’s a good idea to use a good moisturizer suitable for your skin type, to keep your skin hydrated and healthy. I generally moisturize every time I feel my skin going dry and reapply my sunscreen over that. Takes 5 seconds but works wonders for your skin.
- Sunscreen is your best friend –
Make sunscreen your best friend irrespective of the fact that you are travelling or not! And this is one step in your skin care that you cannot miss ever. Sunscreen not only protects your skin from excessive tanning and sunburns but also other hash effects of UV rays like early signs of aging. Reapply your sunscreen every 2-3 hours.
- Cleanser is a must in your travel kit –
It is not rocket science that while travelling our skin will attract a lot of dirt and dust which get accumulated on our skin and cause breakouts. A cleanser will help your skin to wash out all the dirt and stay fresh. So, carrying a cleanser can help you stay away from vacation breakouts. And always remove your make up before going to bed! It gives your skin a chance to breathe and get ready for the next day.
- Do not start using new products –
Though it is super easy to buy whatever is convenient but if it does not suit your skin it might just end up being a bad decision. So, it’s always a good idea to stick to the products that are tried and tested on your skin while you are travelling. Our skin is already vulnerable due to the change in weather and water and food, let’s give it some comfort by sticking to her known products.
- Keep you hands off you face –
Not just while travelling but it is advised not to touch your face too much. Through out the day we keep touching stuffs that might be dirty and its definitely not something we would want to transfer to our face and hair. **It’s always great to keep a hand sanitizer handy while you are on the move.
