Mizon Hyarulonic Acid 100 Ampoule Review
After following Kbeauty regime for quite sometime now, I finally decided to include serum in my routine. I have always heard that serum is one of the most important and also one of the most expensive step in Kbeauty and I will be honest that it was the “expensive” part that made me think twice before buying it. But now that I am about to hit my thirties soon so I wanted to make my routine complete. So I went on a spree searching for good serums at a good price available in India and found some amazing shops in Instagram( a post on the experience coming soon) and this ampoule was one of the most recommended one in a pocket friendly budget.
Product: Mizon Hyaluronic acid 100 serum
Product Type: Serum / ampoule
Texture: Thin, almost like a light oil
Color: Transparent, a little whitish
Scent: No noticeable scent
Packaging: The cream is housed in a baby blue glass bottle and has a dropper top. The dropper doesn’t quite reach to the bottom of the bottle, which I imagine will be problematic when the bottle is near empty.
Skin type: All, even for sensitive skin.
How to use: Apply the serum morning and night after cleansing and toner, just before your facial cream. I apply once a day in my night routine after toning and essence.
Ingredients : Contains 50% hyaluronic acid, and — Water, Sodium Hyaluronate, Copper Tripeptide-1, Butylene Glycol, Sclerotium Gum, 1,2-octanediol, Ethylhexyl-glycerin, Tropolone, Hydrogenated Polydecene, Carppyl/capric Triglyceride,Hydrogenated Lecithin, Stearic Acid, C12-c20alkyl Glucoside, C13-22 Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Cholesteryl Hydroxystearate, Cholesterol, Ceramid 3, Triethanolamine, Carbomer, Betula Platpyhlla Japonica Juice, Portaluca Oleracea Extract, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Astragalus Membranaceus Root Extract, Amica Montana Flower Extract, Artemisia Absinthium Extract, Achillea Millefolium Extract, Gentiana Lutea Root Extract, Rubus Idaeus (Rasberry) Fruit Extract, Beta-Glucan, Adenosine, Carbomer, Triethanolamine, Disodium EDTA
Pros: Light and easily absorbed. Suitable for everybody that need an extra moisturizing boost. From oily, combination and troubled skin, to mature, dry and sensitive skin. Affordable for a serum coz serums are generally super expensive. Should work great under makeup too.
Cons: Nothing really
My Impression —
Mizon Hyaluronic Acid Serum 100 is a nice little Serum for anyone who needs an extra hydrating boost. No luxury high-end feel but also nothing unexpected, it simply does the job. I feel that this serum fits into any skincare routine as an extra boost. Because the formula is so thin, light and easily absorbed, it is suitable for all skin types. This being my first serum I had high hopes on it and I am pretty satisfied by the effect it has shown on my skin.
The place where I live is extra dry and cold winds blowing almost all the time, my skin gets dry and flaky very easily and I have cold allergy (anyone else heard of it or is suffering from this wierd allergy? Please do let me know more about it and if there is any cure 🙁 ) which makes it worse because my skin gets itchy. So during winters I have to be extra careful. Now that due to allergy I cannot use a sheet mask (which otherwise I used daily) I needed something that would retain the moisture in my skin. And this serum has worked amazingly well. Now I know why korean women swears by serums.
Result on my skin —
- I love how my skin absorbs it immediately after applying. This makes it so much easier to apply subsequent products. Moreover, it does not leave any greasy residue at all.
- It works wonderfully in soothing my itchy skin when I am having allergy attacks and makes my skin feel hydrated and calm.
- My skin feels plump, my scars are much less noticeable, and my skin’s surface appears to be more even and smoother.
I think these are all I would want from a serum that has hyaluronic acid in it because the main job of this acid is to heal your skin and moisturize. And it does its job pretty well in this serum.
I wouldn’t say that its very affordable or cheap but looking at the price of other serums available in the market I found the product affordable. And also because its Mizon Korea that just makes it better for the price. And with the effectiveness and the visible results from the first few uses itself it’s definitely worth it.
This serum is a 5/5 for me and definitely a rebuy!
That’s all for today guys. Till next time… xoxo
